{"id":102,"date":"2026-03-30T10:40:42","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T10:40:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging-support.learninglink.oup.com\/?p=102"},"modified":"2026-05-14T14:20:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T14:20:42","slug":"how-do-i-assign-a-quiz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.learninglink.oup.com\/fr\/instructor-support\/how-do-i-assign-a-quiz\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I assign a quiz in an OUP-hosted course?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to assign a quiz in an Oxford Learning Link Course\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-aQktXDkqYQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you are using an OUP-hosted course (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.learninglink.oup.com\/instructor-support\/get-started-with-oxford-learning-link-content-in-my-lms\/\">rather than one in your institution&#8217;s LMS\/VLE<\/a>), to assign a quiz:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to <a href=\"http:\/\/oup.instructure.com\">oup.instructure.com<\/a>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have only one course, you will enter straight into that course. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Otherwise, select your Oxford Learning Link course from your homepage or from the &#8220;courses&#8221; list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Assignments&#8221; from the left hand sub menu and scroll down to the quiz you would like to make changes to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the three horizontal dots to the far right of the assignment title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Edit&#8221; from the dropdown menu, and an &#8220;edit assignment&#8221; dialogue box will appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the more options button in the lower left corner of this dialogue box. A new window will appear under the &#8220;details&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down to the assigned section.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Here, you can assign to everyone in the class or individual students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also set a due date for completion of the assignment, and how long the assignment will be available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After updating these fields, click the &#8220;save&#8221; button in the bottom right hand corner of the window.
